The first beta of Battlegrounds Mobile India, the India-specific version of the banned battle royale blockbuster PUBG, has been released on the Google Play Store by South Korean game developer Krafton.

The company said on Thursday that it has launched a ‘early access’ release on the app store, allowing pre-registered gamers to download the game directly from the Store or via a link on the company’s website and social media platforms.
Early access releases are frequently buggy and intended to garner input from the general public. Players’ progress and purchases from the early release will be transferred over to the final edition, according to Krafton.

Battlegrounds Mobile India has been available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store for some time, and there has been a lot of conjecture about when the game will be released publicly. According to some sources, the game will be released on June 18, which is today. However, because the beta test version was released yesterday, it’s quite doubtful that the final version will be released released today. The main idea behind beta testing anything is to check out its bugs and issues and sort them out before an official rollout.
